MAN_WP51.ZIP the manual in WP for Windows 5.1/2 format. Will convert to Word for Windows 6.0, but some of the graphics characters like the boxes around the command summaries get messed up. MAN_PDF4.ZIP The manual in Adobe's Portable Document Format. Does not have the fonts embedded, and therefore will not display correctly on some systems. RLC4.PDF The manual in Adobe's Portable Document Format, with embedded fonts. Should display and print correctly on all systems using Adobe Acrobat. --------------------------------------------------------------------- What has changed in V1.30 (since 1.24) V1.30 is considered "beta" software as of the time of its release. If it proves to be stable, it may become or lead to a general release to be sent to all RLC-4 users. Since V1.24: * Fixed the manual off hook command so it will not execute if the patch has not been configured yet (with C110) and will not interrupt another port that is already using the patch. * When any port makes an autopatch call, all of the ports that were monitoring or connected to the port that made the call are included on the call (repeaters and links) instead of only hearing the radio side of the conversation. * C112 will now treat macros 200..249 as autodial slots if you attempt to dial a one or two digit number: C112*00 calls macro 200, C112*49 calls macro 249. To make the macros work as autodials, program them as C050*200113 (to program macro 200, autodial 00). * Corrected a problem that occurred when a repeater in preaccess mode (see C070) connected itself to a link using a macro. It caused the link transmitter to hang until kerchunked or until a tone or voice message was sent down the link. * Fixed a problem that would allow the audio from ports that were timed out to be transmitted if something else brought the transmitter up. * Fixed a problem that allowed the manual off-hook command (C111) to connect even if the patch was already in use. * Muted the patch audio before and during the time that the number is being dialed. The audio is unmuted as soon as dialing is complete. What about the next release? We have a lot of plans for the next release, including serial status screens, finishing the HF interface, a new command execution module that will not require the '*' between the command name and the data, and a lot of the features you have requested. If you have ideas you have not told us about yet, please let us know about them (preferably in writing).
