A new HC11 processor must be configured before it will work with the controller's 
normal firmware.  To configure it, burn the correct configXX.bin file into an 
EPROM, install it in the controller, and power up the controller.  If you have
the controller's serial port connected to a computer or serial terminal, you 
should see a message indicating what value the config register was changed from
and to.  Remove the config EPROM and install the normal firmware.  Reinitialize
(if necessary) and everything should be ready to go.
