RLC-3 Version 1.72 The following things have changed since V1.71: - Changed how the baud rate for the radio card is changed to match the selected HF radio. You shouldn't notice any difference. - Added events for turning HF on and off, and for each band so can automatically change an antenna switch. - Changed the HF scan command so if enter an invalid scan rate (not 1,3,4,6,7 or 9), that it will just say "stop scan" rather than giving an error message as it stops scanning. This should have little effect when in HF mode, but makes it nice to stop scanning using command 199 (see below). - Added command 199 to pass data into the HF routines without being in HF mode. Allows you to write macros to control an HF radio. Added a flag to indicate that there were changes that need to be written to the radio so the HF radio routines can know to turn on CAT mode, send the changes, then turn CAT mode off when commands are entered and no port is in HF mode. May also want to use HF-mode command 4 (see below) to call macros that use 199 to do HF stuff. - Fixed Bug: "Slot %d in the nuisance number table is clear" serial message didn't define what %d was. - Fixed a PL frequency in the doug hall routines. Had a pl listed of 188.2 when it should have been 186.2. - Added an HF-mode command (digit 4) to allow executing any command by name, unless the command has a '*' or '#' in its name (which conflicts with the frequency or hf-force-exe digits). - Made the FT-736 work by turning off the ptt while each serial command is sent. The Kenwood TS-711 should also do this. Fixed a bug that kept the FT-736 from working with negative offsets. - Made FT-767 work by sending an ACK after every command, including the command to turn CAT mode on. - Blocked all user DVR1 commands so they won't execute if the DVR1 is not enabled. The playback command used to lock the TX if no DVR was connected. You can find this file and the others described below on our internet ftp site. The easiest way to access it is with a web browser through our homepage (http://www.link-comm.com). README.TXT This file. EPROMS.ZIP The files needed to burn this software version. The card rom data (included) is identical to V1.45. The voice eprom data (included) is identical to V1.41. EPROMS.ZIP should contain the following files: RLC3CARD.BIN should be loaded with offset of 0 as a binary file and burned into a 27C512 EPROM for each of the cards. It is the same as version 1.45. Checksum = B249. PROM1.BIN and PROM2.BIN should be loaded as binary files with no offset and burned into 27C010 or 27C001 eproms for the motherboard. PROM1 Checksum = FDD9. PROM2 Checksum = 51BB. Socket #3 should be empty. RLC3_VCE.141 should be loaded as a binary file with no offset and burned into a 27C010 or 27C001 eprom. It is only about 77K, so don't be concerned that the file size is different than PROM1 and PROM2. It goes in socket 4 on the motherboard. It is the same as V1.41. Checksum = 5DAC.
