Manual Update for V1.65 The RLC-3 manual has not been updated since V1.53. This document is the only record of changes. The manual will be updated when time permits. Added the password commands (186...) They were not in software version 1.53, but they are in the V1.53 manual. Added command 'N' to all controllers to allow uploading without worrying about command names. In previous versions, if you changed the name of a command and later tried to upload a file that called that command, it would not be able to find that command name and would cause an error. Now when sending commands from the serial port, you can now put an 'N' followed by the command number and any data for that command and not have to worry about what the command has been renamed to. For example, to program a courtesy beep: V1.48 and previous: "C053*2680400500500500* ; send beep" V1.53: "053 268 040 050 050 0500 ; send beep" V1.65: "N053 268 040 050 050 0500 ; send beep" Changed command 138 (send spi out card) to hex, not decimal. Should make it easier to control BCD radios. The only thing I know of it being used for now is recalling memories on the RBI-1, which will still be possible with this command and is now a standard command anyway. Changed autopatch hangup voice/cw response so is only sent if not already hung up. Added a command 157 event that is called if try to hang up the patch when it is already hung up. It is event number 208. Made the keypad test use the words "star" and "pound" rather than "s" and "p". Now allow variable length when selecting what timer to recall, reset or clear. Added Doug Hall RBI-1 automatic band switching. Also allow memory recalling, and made the recall frequency and recall all commands aware of the memories. Added a command to turn the radios on and off. - Command 141 is no longer needed, since the band is switched automatically by command 142. - Command 142 now takes the whole frequency not just the megahertz and following digits. For example, to go to 147.380 plus with software version V1.48 or earlier, you would have entered "C141*140" then "C142*73801". With V1.64 and following, you enter "142 1473801". - Command 151 now lets you turn the radios on and off. The format is "151 X" where X is 0 to turn the radio off and X is 1 to turn it on. - Command 152 now lets you recall a memory in the radio. The format is "152 XX" where XX is the memory to recall. Now let 110, the configure autopatch port command, accept only one digit if that digit is 0, to disable the patch. Used to have to enter another digit that was ignored to meet the minimum length requirement. Added command 164 to recall controller and software version. Call it automatically on reinitialization. Changed reset macro to speak "controller ready" rather than send "reset" in CW. Changed autopatch hangup message to "call complete at
