APPLICATIONS INCLUDE HAVING THE CONTROLLER CONFIGURE AN EXTERNAL TNC UPON RESET OR SETTING UP AN EXTERNAL MODEM. 5) FIXED 300 BAUD RESET PROBLEM THAT WAS FOUND. 6) ADDED SOME CHECKING FEATURES TO WATCH PTT ACTIVITY. THESE FUNCTIONS WERE ADDED TO COMBAT ANY PTT LOCK CONDITIONS THAT MAY OCCUR AND CAUSE THE PTT TO HANG. A RESET ALWAYS CLEARED THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR MUCH BUT ONCE IS ENOUGH. IF A PTT HANG DOES OCCUR WITH THIS SOFTWARE PLEASE EXECUTE COMMAND 026 FROM THE SERIAL PORT. MAKE A HARDCOPY OF THIS SCREEN AND FAX, MAIL E-MAIL OR CALL US SO WE CAN GET THE NEEDED INFORMATION FROM THE SCREEN DUMP. GENERAL RELEASE WILL OCCUR AT VERSION 4.11. Use this if you have already printed out rlc2v410.pdf to update your printed copy. Notes: To install the update you need to unzip eproms.zip and burn two 27C512 eproms, one with the voice data and one for the main program rom. After installing the new roms, power up the controller while holding down the initialization button on the circuit board. This will set everything up for factory defaults. You can then begin programming. eproms.zip contains: voice401.bin - Binary file for the voice rom rlc2a410.icm - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface rlc2a410.kwd - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface rlc2_410.icm - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface rlc2_410.kwd - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface PDF is Adobe's Portable Document Format. This is a format that can be viewed and/or printed from DOS, Windows, Macintosh, and Unix systems using the appropriate version of Adobe's Acrobat Reader. Acrobat is freely distributable; you can download it from Adobe's ftp site. If you have difficulty with their site, let me know and we may be able to post the reader ourselves.
