IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM, AND CAN TELL US WHEN IN THE AUTOPATCH CALL THE PROBLEM FIRST SHOWED UP, THIS WILL GREATELY HELP US LOCATE AND SQUISH THE BUG. 5) FIXED A MACRO BUG THAT OCCURRED WHEN MACROS CALLED OTHER MACROS. 6) REMOVED THE MESSAGE 'HIGH OF' AND 'LOW OF' ON ANALOG HIGH\LOW READINGS. IF YOU WANT THESE MESSAGES, PUT THEM IN YOUR MESSAGES 7) CHANGED PORT 4 (AUTOPATCH) TIME-OUT TIMER TO BE ENABLED OUT OF INITIALIZATION 8) FIXED THE INITIALIZATION VOICE MESSAGES 9) QUESTION: SHOULD THE NUMBER OF MACROS BE INCREASED BY REMOVING SOME OF THE VOICE\CW MESSAGE SLOTS (048 AND 049). I WILL TAKE EVERYBODYS INPUT AND DETERMINE IF A CHANGE IS NEEDED. I WOULD REMOVE 25 MESSAGE SLOTS AND CONVERT THEM TO 20 MACROS. THIS WOULD LEAVE 25 MESSAGE SLOTS AVAILABLE AND INCREASE THE MACRO CAPABILITY TO 70 MACROS. 10) ADDED A LIMITED SERIAL TERMINAL ASCII WORD PRINTING. THIS WILL PRINT THE ACTUAL LETERS AND NUMBERS (FROM 0..9). ALL OTHER WORDS WILL BE PRINTED IN THE LITERAL WORD NUMBER. 11) THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL QUESTIONS ON HOW TO DISABLE AN EVENT. COMMAND 065 IS PROVIDED FOR THIS EXACT PURPOSE. FORMAT: 065 XXX Y WHERE XXX IS THE EVENT NUMBER Y IS THE CONTROL 1 - ENABLE THE EVENT 0 - DISABLE THE EVENT Other Notes: There is a known bug that can cause transmitters to lock on the air. The transmitter lockup can be resolved by resetting the controller (remotely is one way), but that does not completely clear the problem. This requires reinitializing the controller or uploading a serial file that was downloaded with command 222 before the lockup occured. This bug seems to have something to do with using the autopatch. It happens very rarely, in fact no one outside of our shop has reported seeing it. Command 148 is the autopatch last number redial. This directory should contain the following files: readme this file arvexp.txt explaination of the audio routing variables eproms.zip the files needed to burn your own V4.06 eproms for the RLC-2 and RLC-2a. The manual has not been updated since V4.00, so it is not copied here. Notes: To install the update you need to unzip eproms.zip and burn two 27C512 eproms, one with the voice data and one for the main program rom. After installing the new roms, power up the controller while holding down the initialization button on the circuit board. This will set everything up for factory defaults. You can then begin programming. eproms.zip contains: voice401.bin - Binary file for the voice rom rlc2a406.icm - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface rlc2a406.kwd - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface rlc2_406.icm - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface rlc2_406.kwd - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface PDF is Adobe's Portable Document Format.
