RLC-2 V4.05 Beta Please note that this is beta software - it probably has bugs !!!! Use it at your own risk!!!! Changes since V4.03 VERSION 4.05 BETA CHANGES 1) ADDED SERIAL MACRO RESPONSE ON COMMAND 167. - WHEN THE RS-232 PORT RECALLS A MACRO POSITION USING COMMAND 167, THE CONTROLLER WILL RECALL THE MACRO CONTENTS IN AN ASCII FORMAT SUITABLE FOR DIRECT RE-UPLOAD. 2) ADDED A MULTIPLE MACRO RECALL SERIAL RESPONSE. THIS COMMAND IS 164 FORMAT: 164 XX YY * OR WHERE XX IS THE BEGINNIGN MACRO NUMBER WHERE YY IS THE ENDING MACRO NUMBER - THIS COMMAND CAN ONLY BE EXECUTED FROM THE SERIAL PORT - WHEN THE RS-232 PORT RECALLS A MACRO POSITION USING COMMAND 164, THE CONTROLLER WILL RECALL THE MACRO CONTENTS IN AN ASCII FORMAT SUITABLE FOR DIRECT RE-UPLOAD. 3) REMOVED THE RESET OF MY DEBUGGING INFORMATION IN THE IDING ROUTINES 4) REMOVED THE RESET OF MY DEBUGGING INFORMATION IN THE SMALL DVR ROUTINES 5) ADDED LARGE DVR ROUTINES 6) ADDED 7 DIGIT AUTOPATCH ALLOW. OUT OF INITIALIZATION THE AUTOPATCH WILL ONLY ALLOW 3 DIGIT AUTODIALS, 911 AND 7 DIGIT DIALING. 7 DIGIT DIALING BYPASSES THE ALLOW TABLES CHECKING BUT IS CHECKED BY THE NUSIANCE DIALING TABLE. 7) FIXED AN ERROR THAT OCCURRED WHEN EXECUTING MORE THAN 10 COMMANDS IN A MACRO SEQUENCE 8) FIXED AN ERROR THAT CAUSED THE COURTESY BEEP EVENT TO BE SENT WHEN EITHER THE COR OR PL CHANGED STATE, BUT DID NOT KEY THE RECEIVER. Other Notes: There is a known bug that can cause transmitters to lock on the air. The transmitter lockup can be resolved by resetting the controller (remotely is one way), but that does not completely clear the problem. This requires reinitializing the controller or uploading a serial file that was downloaded with command 222 before the lockup occured. This bug seems to have something to do with using the autopatch. It happens very rarely, in fact no one outside of our shop has reported seeing it. Command 148 is the autopatch last number redial. This directory should contain the following files: readme this file eproms.zip the files needed to burn your own V4.00 eproms for the RLC-2 and RLC-2a. The manual has not been updated since V4.00, so it is not copied here. Notes: To install the update you need to unzip eproms.zip and burn two 27C512 eproms, one with the voice data and one for the main program rom. After installing the new roms, power up the controller while holding down the initialization button on the circuit board. This will set everything up for factory defaults. You can then begin programming. eproms.zip contains: voice401.bin - Binary file for the voice rom rlc2a405.icm - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface rlc2a405.kwd - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface rlc2_405.icm - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface rlc2_405.kwd - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface PDF is Adobe's Portable Document Format.
