Changes since V4.01

VERSION 4.02 BETA CHANGES

1) ADDED SERIAL COMMENTS SUPPORT
   THIS ALLOWS A COMMAND NAME TO BE FOLLOWED BY EITHER:
    - THE DTMF FORCED EXECUTION DIGIT OR...
    - SPACES, TABS, AND\OR A SEMI-COLON THAT CAN BE FOLLOWED BY A COMMENT
      -- EXAMPLE: DTMF>009      ; THIS COMMAND RECALLS THE CROSS-POINT
      -- YOU CAN USE EITHER SPACES

2) FINISHED THE SMALL DVR SUPPORT COMMANDS 150,151,152,153
    - THE SMALL DVR WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON
    - 75 SECONDS: (25) 1 SECOND SLOTS, (10) 5 SECOND SLOTS

3) FORGOT TO ENABLE THE DTMF KEYPAD TEST.  THE TEST IS UNDER COMMAND 047
   - FORMAT IS > 047 X..X * OR UNKEY
      -- WHERE X..X ARE THE DTMF DIGITS TO BE SPOKEN

Other Notes:

There is a known bug that can cause transmitters to lock on the air.
The transmitter lockup can be resolved by resetting the controller
(remotely is one way), but that does not completely clear the problem.
This requires reinitializing the controller or uploading a serial
file that was downloaded with command 222 before the lockup occured.
This bug seems to have something to do with using the autopatch.  It
happens very rarely.

Command 148 is the autopatch last number redial.

This directory should contain the following files:

readme             this file
eproms.zip         the files needed to burn your own V4.00 eproms
                   for the RLC-2a ONLY!!! (serial numbers >= 150).
                   Files for the older RLC-2s will be created later.

              The manual has not changed since V4.00,
              so it is not copied here.

Notes:

  To install the update you need to unzip eproms.zip and burn two 27C512
  eproms, one with the voice data and one for the main program rom.
  After installing the new roms, power up the controller while holding
  down the initialization button on the circuit board.  This will set
  everything up for factory defaults.  You can then begin programming.

  eproms.zip contains:
    voice401.bin - Binary file for the voice rom
    rlc2a401.icm - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface
    rlc2a401.kwd - RLC2a Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface
    rlc2_401.icm - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Icom HF interface
    rlc2_401.kwd - RLC2 Binary file for main rom with Kenwood HF interface
